Cellulite Reduction / Body Contouring
What is cellulite?
Cellulite is the rippled appearance that often occurs in the inner thighs, on the buttocks or backs of the thighs. Genetics is the single largest reason cellulite is present on any individual. Fat deposits can occur in certain areas in both men and women despite their best exercise and weight loss efforts. These deposits are often seen in the under arm area, in the back beneath the shoulder blades, the love handles and the lower abdomen.
What treatments are used to address these problems?
Mesotherapy is a relatively new, non-invasive treatment in the United States proven to eliminate or diminish the appearance of cellulite and reverse the effects of time and aging off your body. It is a procedure that will usually make great improvements to the tone and texture of your skin, thus reducing unsightly wrinkles and helping to smooth, contour and reduce those annoying fat deposit zones.
How is Mesotherapy administered?
The procedure involves several tiny injections to the problem area being treated and usually requires about 4 to 10 sessions for satisfying results. The Amalfi specialist will advise you if you are a candidate and help you with information in making the decision if this treatment is right for you. The initial consult is free at Amalfi.
Is Mesotherapy dangerous?
Mesotherapy is considered a safe procedure and usually requires no anesthesia. The injections cause slight discomfort, similar to that experienced from waxing. This procedure has been successfully performed in France since 1954.
What are the side effects of Mesotherapy?
The side effects of Mesotherapy are extremely minimal and usually are limited to minor bruising. Most of the negative side effects concerning bruising can be reduced by avoiding alcohol, aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Midol, Aleve, etc.) several days before treatment.
